What They Needed
14 Henrietta Street wanted to document the making of the model, capturing the craft and dedication that went into it and giving their audience a behind the scenes look at a remarkable piece of work rooted in deep historical research.
What We Did
We travelled down to Kilkenny to spend the day with Ronan as he worked on the model in his Dad's workshop, and later filmed its installation in 14 Henrietta Street itself. It is exactly the kind of project we love, being welcomed into someone's home, sitting down to lunch with the family, homemade apple tart and all, and getting to document something quietly extraordinary happening in an ordinary setting. The model itself is outrageously impressive, and getting to follow its journey from workshop to museum was a real privilege.
