Meta Artist in Residence

PROJECT: The Facebook Artist in Residence programme was Meta’s way of bringing contemporary art into their offices. They invited artists from around the world to come in, create site-specific works like murals or installations, and interact with employees along the way. The company provided space, materials, and sometimes a stipend, letting artists experiment while brightening up the workplace. Over time, it grew into a broader initiative called Open Arts, which included bigger collaborations both inside and outside their campuses. It was less about decoration and more about sparking creativity and conversation in the company.

CLIENT: Meta

What they needed

Facebook wanted to showcase their Artist in Residence programme across Europe, highlighting the artists, their creative process, and the impact of bringing art into the workplace. They needed engaging video content that captured the energy of the projects and the personalities of the artists.

What we did

We visited offices across Europe, filmed the artists at work, and conducted interviews to bring their stories to life. We produced more than fifty short videos that captured both the creativity and the fun of the residency, giving viewers a real sense of the programme and the incredible artists involved. The experience was amazing for us too — meeting so many people and getting to know them quickly in the accelerated setting of the interviews made it an energising and unforgettable process.

Here’s a small sample of the work we did.
