About Us

Arcade Film Ltd, founded in 2017 by Dan Keane and Kilian Waters, produces narrative short films, documentaries, experimental work, and commercial projects. The company is known for filmmaker-led initiatives, internationally recognised content, and strong collaborations across the Irish screen sector.

Alongside narrative films, Arcade foregrounds documentary and arts-focused work, creating in-depth artist features, exhibition films, and creative podcasts and series with organisations such as the Hugh Lane Gallery, IMMA, the Irish Writers Centre, and the Irish Hospice Foundation.

Recent projects include Mary is Missing (2025; Grand Prix – Best Irish Short, Cork International Film Festival), Turnaround (2024; Best Short Drama – Galway Film Fleadh; Best Short Film – Foyle Film Festival), Headspace (2022; Grand Prix – Best Irish Short, Cork International Film Festival; European Film Awards Shortlist 2023), Lamb (2022; Official Selection – Tribeca Film Festival; Best Irish Short – DIFF 2023), and Is Olc an Ghaoth (2021; RTS Ireland Drama Award nomination), among many others. Earlier work includes Mechanic (2012; Best Short Drama – Galway Film Fleadh).

Arcade manages every stage of production—from concept to final cut—across narrative, documentary, and commercial projects, including ad campaigns, event documentation, livestreams, motion graphics, and theatre video design. Collaboration is central, fostering lasting partnerships with writers, directors, and other creative professionals.

The company supports emerging filmmakers and champions inclusive filmmaking, making participation, visibility, and accessibility central to its practice. Arcade Film continues to produce ambitious, award-winning work while advancing innovation and creativity in Irish filmmaking.
